The PAARL OU TUIN HERITAGE FESTIVAL COMMITTEE will be hosting a week-long Heritage Festival from Monday 17 September to Monday 24 September 2018. The Festival will form part of the celebration and commemoration of South Africa’s rich history, of which Paarl forms an integral part.
The purpose of the Festival is to:
- Educate, Reflect and Unite through History and Heritage.
- Celebrate the Paarl Ou Tuin
- Showcase the Tradition and Culture of the Ou Tuin
- Capture the Vibrancy and Unity of the Ou Tuin community
- Remember the Cross-Cultural Unity and Diversity of the Ou Tuin
The above will be achieved via exhibitions (photographs and video slide shows), talks, sports (rugby etc), games. Entertainment will be provided in the form of stage productions and stalls. This event, whilst historical in nature, is focused on the family and community.
We would like the Drakenstein Heritage Foundation to partner with us on this very exciting project. As such, we kindly request your assistance with the use for temporary Office Space and a boardroom to hold meetings with stakeholders and representatives from various communities while planning the Festival. The Office will be used from Monday-Friday during office hours. However, hours may extend due to meetings and as it comes closer to the date of the Festival.
We kindly request a meeting with the executive of DHF to furnish you with a more details.
Attached please find a preliminary proposal for your perusal and consideration.
